Kathryn is a seasoned artist and colour consultant with over 25 years of experience across both the private and commercial sectors. After Camberwell College of Art, she has built a career working on commissioned and bespoke projects in interior decoration, decorative designs, and finishes. Though her career spans various mediums, Kathryn originally trained as a portrait artist and sculptor, often adapting her work to suit the specific needs of a project or space.
From 2015 until the COVID pandemic 2020, Kathryn ran Conquest House Gallery in Canterbury, where she curated exhibitions and taught life drawing and portrait drawing and painting. She continues to share her expertise through teaching and mentoring aspiring artists.
Her creative journey has been deeply intertwined with a spiritual exploration of self and the natural world. An aspiring practitioner of Bhakti Yoga, Kathryn draws inspiration from her relationship to the Self and her environment, using this connection as an anchor for her artistic expression. Her work is a reflection of identity, experiences, and the poetry of human existence, with a particular focus on capturing the light, mood, and spirit of the human form. Kathryn’s ongoing evolution as an artist is driven by an inquisitive nature, a desire to capture the essence of life, and a constant pursuit of depth and beauty.
